Tiny Tea Party
tiny, little, yet magical
Tiny Tea Party began while visiting the middle of nowhere Arkansas, while visiting for a music festival our team was vending. In the early hours of the morning, we just happened to stumble upon a mad tea party art installation, with a preposterous pie eating competition. I spoke with the designer who said every single piece was thrifted. I remember feeling like I fell down the rabbit hole and I was okay with staying there for awhile. When I got back from the trip I became obsessed with going to different Chicago thrifts and antique stores, becoming FB marketplace royalty and finding the best deals I could find on the most obscure yet glamorous pieces.
So Halloween rolled around and I knew I wanted to have a Terrifying Tea Party for my birthday, we transformed our entire house into a Alice in Wonderland inspired space. It was truly the happiest birthday yet. I realized that any time I can create a portal to a part of my fantasy for others to enjoy, I get to show them the magic that exists within. I have hand picked every piece of the sets I design, everything is upcycled or repurposed. I feel pride when I connect with a piece that has a story, and I want to keep them going.
Tiny Tea party is inspired by this piece that sits in my office. It brings me inner peace to imagine a garden and two people just enjoying a deep conversation over coffee or tea. Not really worried about the outside world but rather just the magic of nature and connection. The joy of finally getting to go to Disney Land with adult money and riding on the tea cups feeling the childlike innocence I thought I missed out on. This is what this set is all about- reclaiming that expression of play and bringing magic to life.
Tiny Tea Party’s are all about reconnecting to the inner child in a way that brings them to exist in a modern renaissance room. Think of Titanic and paint me like a french woman, only classy and respectful way. These art installations are meant to showcase vintage pieces, romanticize the getting getting ready process, spending time within good conversations, and embracing our wildness.
“Have I gone mad? I'm afraid so.
You're entirely Bonkers.
But I will tell you a secret,
All the best people are.”
Wait you guys aren’t mad at me right? Surely it all must be in my head.
Mental health is for another article though.

What makes this collection unique is the absolute highest level of maximalism. I love a prop and yes we can absolutely add one more thing to the set. I know a gay loves a trinket. Would you like to see my shiny pretty tiny thing that fits in a tea cup because I would love to show you. Meow. That is just how my brain works and bringing this to life has been so much fun.
You will always find the most intricate candelabras and lighting within these sets. Yes you will have to remind me to check how many candles I have lit because the limit does not exist. I like to look to classic renaissance paintings for inspiration, where people laid in their favorite outfits surrounded by their fancyiest belonings just existing. They weren’t worried what was on the news, they just sat in the vibes and yearned for more.
I have always been a fan of Great Gatsby, and related to the emptiness that comes with throwing a party afterwards. But bringing others together in a safe place to feel like they can be themselves is what matters to me most, because I know it’s something I’ve struggled with throughout my life.
Learning to clean up the mess you make
What is special about this content is that I do a directors cut video of How I create the scene, a time lapse and explanation of how I organize things and how it’s basically just a little mania and a few shots of expresso. But I also teach people organizational tips that they can use to create their own sets, as well as cleaning it up after wards.
Cleaning is such an essential part of energy and mental flow state for me. So when I started my household management company, I knew I had to incorporate educational aspects that allows queer and neurodivergent people to feel empowered to know that just because you have a messy or unorganized space, doesn’t mean your any less valuable to the world. In modern world there simply isn’t enough time to do everything, so when our space becomes messy, it’s a sign of life being lived. When I was going through a breakup and unsure of what the future may look like, I used cleaning to ease my anxiety and got rid of clutter, making new room for growth.
I learned from this that if I allow myself room to make a mess, all I have to do is learn to clean it up. And that if you learn to create a home within yourself, you will never feel like you don’t belong.
What do you mean you can’t find the phone charger?
Each set is special because while they all have the same lounge vibes, each one is unique and different. But we absolutely cannot forget the phone for space travel. How will we get back home after visiting the portal?
The phone is representative of communication to your inner world. Sometimes we desperately do not listen to that voice and it demands to be heard, seen, and loved. So all tiny tea parties feature a vintage phone that brings us connected closer to our higher selves, inner child and the modern world.
If you get the call of a lifetime, do you answer or put on do not disturb?
Are you interested in creating or collaborating on making your own tiny tea room? It is my hopes to connect with other creative vintage collectors so I can continue to make my tiny renaissance room portals to life.
